Manuel Dunkel - Tenor and soprano saxophonist

Prestigous Yrjö award was handed to Manuel Dunkel by Finnish Jazz Federation during Finnish Jazz Convention on 29th of October 2011 in Turku. The Yrjö award is considered the highest honour a Finnish jazz musician can get.

The latest album by Manuel Dunkel, "A Step Forward" was nominated for Emma award 2010 (best Finnish jazz album).

The new album "A Step Forward" was released in February by Texicalli Records. The line up is:

Alexi Tuomarila - piano

Ville Huolman - bass

Teppo Mäkynen - drums
